Firstly, I just had a look at my comment to yesterdays post. I would like to apologise for its length (and for going on about my travel problems), it's what happens, I suppose, when staved of the internet for about 8 days. Any way, my first thought after reading the title was also Aretha Franklin, though I do know the song you sang, how ever I, yet again, have can't remember who sang it. At it's annoying me this time as I know I should know it. Again sung beautifully :) well, role on day 22 :) David :)
I prayed it was Erasure and indeed it was. The Innocents is one of my favourite albums of all time and my heart literally exploded when I found you had covered A Little Respect.
Wow! I've only just read these lovely comments! Thanks folks and thanks to whoever wrote about this on the Erasure newsletter. A pleasure to meet you all and thanks for popping by! :) xx

Lovely, thanks for this and the rest of the calendar. It's all been really enjoyable (after I discovered it on the 13th!)
I'm wondering if this is the Otis Redding/Aretha Franklin track or that song by Erasure. I'll find out later.
Ooo. I wouldn't dare cover a song already performed by Aretha! So glad you like it Cornelius. xx
